The Antique Automobile Club of America is the largest collector car club in the world. The Hillsborough Region AACA was established in 1975. The club offers family-oriented tours, events, and outings monthly. You do not have to own an antique car to join the club, just a love for them!
We partner with the Gasparilla Concours d'Elegance and the Gasparilla Cars in the Park to support an extraordinary automotive event, that benefits local charities for children.
President’s Corner:
Welcome to June!
As the days grow longer and summer takes center stage, a lot of focus will be on hurricane
season. Make sure you are as prepared as possible. If you are required to evacuate, don’t
hesitate, just do it! Hopefully, this year, we will be spared the havoc that the previous hurricane
season dumped upon us.
May’s meet-up and Ice Cream Social were well-attended and very productive. Aside from piling
in loads of sweet, and not necessarily nutritious calories, our meeting produced a very good
schedule of events for the next few months. We rolled out the 50/50, and Ken Hornung was the
big winner.
As many of you know, our June event will be a drive to National Parts Depot (NPD), in Ocala, on
June 21st. There is a magnificent private collection of automobiles there that you will not want to
miss. There will be a group heading that way via Interstate 75, and another group heading that
way, taking mostly back roads, for those who are not comfortable taking their old cars on the
interstate. Since the tour is scheduled for 10 am, we will meet for breakfast, and when the tour
is over, our return will be via back roads and stop for lunch along the way. Detailed information
will be sent out soon.
I will be leaving Florida on July 5th, heading to Michigan for most of the summer. During my
absence, if you need me, I will be available via email or phone, but if you need anything “hands
on”, you can contact our Vice President, Rick Howell.

We love hearing from you! Your feedback, ideas, and involvement are what keep us moving
forward. Don’t hesitate to check out the AACA Hillsborough website, www.aacahillsborough.net
and stay updated.
Stay Safe and try to stay cool as summer temps rise.
