The Antique Automobile Club of America is the largest collector car club in the world. The Hillsborough Region AACA was established in 1975. The club offers family-oriented tours, events, and outings monthly. You do not have to own an antique car to join the club, just a love for them!
We partner with the Gasparilla Concours d'Elegance and the Gasparilla Cars in the Park to support an extraordinary automotive event, that benefits local charities for children.
President's Message for May:
As we step into the month of May, we celebrate the renewal of spring, the blossoming of flowers
and new ideas. I encourage everyone to embrace this season of change and innovation. Let's
work together to foster a spirit of collaboration and progress, as we continue to build on the
successes of the past and create a brighter future. I am confident that, with your support, we
can achieve great things.
Well, that was a little mushy, but it says it all.
Our April trip to the swamps for an airboat ride was, as usual, scantily supported. Those who did
attend, thank you, and you earned points towards a free 2026 membership. It was a nice ride.
There were lots of gators to sneak up on, and birds and turtles doing their thing. After the ride,
we stopped at Amor Y Agave, a Mexican restaurant in Bushnell. Very good Mexican food. Since
I didn’t hear any complaints, I’m guessing everyone liked it.
We will be heading out to Williston, Florida, on May 10, for Two Tales Ranch. This is the
elephant rescue, and tours are by appointment only. If you are interested in joining us, please
let me know, and as usual, the sooner, the better. This is not a club function. There is no
meeting, and you will not earn any points. We are going anyway. We have out-of-town friends
who have participated in several AACA tours with us who want to see the elephants. We invite
you to join us.
In addition, this month, we will be holding a meet-up and ice cream social at my home on May
17, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 4:00. You won’t want to miss it. This was originally scheduled for
June, but it may get too hot and wet by then, so we moved it up. This meeting will focus on
planning upcoming summer activities and discussing any new ideas you might have for events
or excursions. Your input is valuable, and I encourage all of you to attend and share your
thoughts. And there is always room for ice cream.
As always, thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm.
See you all soon and smooth riding!
