The Antique Automobile Club of America is the largest collector car club in the world. The Hillsborough Region AACA was established in 1975. The club offers family-oriented tours, events, and outings monthly. You do not have to own an antique car to join the club, just a love for them!

We partner with the Gasparilla Concours d'Elegance and the Gasparilla Cars in the Park to support an extraordinary automotive event, that benefits local charities for children.
President’s Corner:
Greetings to all, and Happy Fall
I have to give a big shout-out to Joanne and Brando Pistorius for the All-American Heritage
Picnic hosted last month at their home. It was well attended with food galore from all ethnicities.
We had a 50/50, and the winner went home with $74.00. Pretty good return on investment, I
would say. It was also the 50th anniversary of the Hillsborough chapter of AACA. We had a
huge cake celebrating the milestone. When I say huge, I mean huge. Some eaten, and most
cut up for take home. In the end, it was gone. Yay!
Since there was a large turnout, with many members present, we took a vote to raise dues. We
have such a relatively small membership, $20 dues barely pays operating expenses. Our dues
are now $30.00 per year, beginning with dues for 2026, and National dues remain at $45 per
year.
Our November event will be the Plant City Strawberry Classic Car Show on the 15th downtown
Plant City from 3pm to 6:30pm. Meet up for those participating will be at Propagation
Restaurant at 3pm located at 103 No Palmer Street, Plant City, FL. This is a monthly event on
the 3rd Saturday of each month, and there are awards. Tony Santos is the wagon master for this
event.
December will be a busy month. Not only Christmas, but Christmas parties and other events.
December 6 will be the Gasparilla Cars in the Park, Carrollwood Village Park, Tampa. It is a full day
packed with all things cars, fun, food and entertainment. Of course, Car show, and car corral.
Check out our website www.aacahillsborough.net for details.
December 14 from 2pm to 5pm, will be our annual Christmas meet-up, at my home. You will be
receiving details via email. This event is usually very well attended and lots of fun. And
because it’s well attended, during the meeting portion, we will take nominations and vote for
2026 officers, who will begin their administration as of January 1, 2016. If you are a paid-up
member and do not receive the email, please let me know. I look forward to seeing you all
there.
Happy Motoring,
